Mid August Favorites !

Hello ! Since i didn’t do a July favorites and it’s the middle of August, i figured i’d go ahead a do a Mid-August faves since i’ve pretty much been using the same things i did throughout July anyways. It’s completely insane that this year has flown by so fast already ! Some of my most used products the past couples of months have been new finds and others have been good ole faithful products that i can never seem to go without.

This is one of my old faithfuls that i can’t seem to go without. I’ve used it on and off for a almost two years and anytime i go a period without it as soon as i start using it again i always wonder why i thought i could go without it. I use it morning, after makeup application, during the day and at night. It’s amazing for a during the day refresher ! I keep mine in the refrigerator to give it that extra cool feel on the skin. It’s already cooling/minty on the face on it’s own because of the peppermint and balm mint in it. It soothes the skin, tightens the pores without drying your face out, and give your skin a little pep of radiance. I can’t get enough of it and i’m confident it’ll be a holy grail in my life for a long time.

When i first bought this polish in May little did i know how much i’d love it and that it would be my go to color of the summer. It’s so fresh and fun all while being clean and classy. Plus, blue happens to be my favorite color so i was naturally gravitated towards it. The polish itself hold up pretty well esp for being infused with beneficial ingredients and without parabens and sulfates. I always get compliments on my nails when i have this color on !

Over the coarse of the past few years i've tried out almost any and every brush cleanser from Cinema Secerets to Brush Off to mixing up my own concoctions but this is by far my favorite for a quick cleanse in between clients. It’s so quick to get all of the gunk off of the brushes and dry fast as well ! It takes just a spray or two to get even my toughest waterproof eyeliner off of the brush which is amazing ! I use it for my own personal use and in my kit.

I first discovered this perfume back in 2012 and still to this day it’s my go to fragrance. Without fail, every time i wear it someone stops and asks what i’m wearing ! It’s the perfect in between of not being too fresh you can barely smell it and not being too strong you get a headache after spritzing it. I l love the story behind it and what it represents - chic, romance, daring, elegance, luxury and spectacular creativity. It’s the perfect finishing touch when i’m getting dressed to go somewhere, i can’t leave the house without it !

Being honest, when this first came out i wasn’t too sure about it because i am a die hard glamglow fan. In fact, sat in my drawer for a couple of weeks and when i ran out of my glamglow i finally decided to give it a go and the only regret i have it not using it sooner. It detoxes the skin but still leaves your it feeling so soft and hydrated after. Sometimes when i would use the glamglow and leave it on for too long my skin would feel a little dried out after i washed it off. No matter how little or how long i leave it on, it always feels squeaky clean but not stripped. If you’ve tried to use the glamglow but it was too abrasive for you try this ! You will love it, hopefully as much as i do :)

Mascaras are tricky for me - probably because i’m too picky but nonetheless it’s always a hassle to find ones that i truly love. Most of the ones i’ve tried are either way too much and make my lashes look like spider legs, leave mascara dots on the top of my eyes by the end of the day, or dry out too fast. That’s why i usually tend to stick to my tried and true favorites (Lancome Hypnose Drama and Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara) I love this one because it gives my lashes a little bit of everything and it’s not over the top. Any day i want to go for a more natural look i tend to go for this one, not only is it in brown which is a little less harsh than black but it also makes the lashes soft and fluttery. I doesn’t make them super long and thick or “in your face” lashes but that’s why i love it. Such a great everyday mascara that gets the job done.

One thing that i rarely care about is face brushes. I use my beauty blender for practically everything (foundation, concealer, contour, highlight, even my setting powders) so i don’t ever buy new face brushes. One day i was scrolling through Instagram and kept seeing so many people talking about the Morphe brushes, so i headed over to their website and was scrolling through all of the brushes.. holy moly there’s tons to chose from ! I kept noticing how cheap all of the brushes were and thinking to myself there’s no way these are any good bc of the price. But since they were so cheap i figured i had nothing to lose to try them out and i am so happy i did ! I’m not sure how the brushes are so well equipped esp for the price but i’m certainly not complaining. I’ve had this brush for about 6 months now.. it’s been through the ringer between traveling, washing them and using them all. of. the. time. yet it’s still in perfect condition. I bought a few duo fibre brushes and they’re all great but i especially love this one bc of how it applies blush. I have never been huge on a lot blush, i tend to opt for a more soft and subtle pop of color. Most brushes pack on the blush which is not what i want.. this M404 applies the perfect amount of blush to give you a little color but not over the top. I haven’t used any other blush brush since i received this one in the mail. If you haven’t tried them out i highly suggest it.. such great brushes at an even better price point !

Jewelry has never been my thing.. mainly because i’m lazy and i don’t want to worry about matching different pieces and making sure it all looks good together. I’d rather accessorize with something easier like bags, scarfs, shoes, lipstick.. all things i don’t have to think about they just go with whatever. These rings changed my mind about jewelry being “difficult’ They literally go with any and everything, are so easy to throw on, and are such a quick way to spice things up, all while still keeping it subtle and delicate. The only downfall is i wash my hands and lotion them a lot during the day, so i always have to take them on and off, but it’s totally worth it.

What’s some thing you’ve been using recently ?! Hope you have a great week :)

Xoxo Maris
